15U AA Wins The Show Cleveland Early Bird Tournament - AA Division

Bob Kozak's 15U AA team traveled to Serpentini Arena in Cleveland the first weekend in October and went 3-1 on their way to winning the The Show Cleveland Early Bird Tournament 15U AA Division.  Great work boys!

18U Mixed Year 1 Wins Big Bear's Prime Time Tournament in Laurel, MD

Congratulations to our 18U A Major Renegades for their pre-season tournament win this past weekend! The team traveled to Laurel, MD September 24-26 to participate in the Prime Time Tournament, hosted by Big Bear Tournaments. Posting a 3-0-1 record for the weekend, the Renegades outscored their opponents 20-6  to take home the championship banner! Well done boys!

16U National Bound Team Captures Silver Sticks Regional Banner

Congratulations to Pat Martin's 16U AA National Bound team.  The team traveled to West Chester, PA and brought home the coveted 16U AA Silver Sticks Regional tournament hardware.  A great way to start off a much anticipated season for Martin's team fresh off a 16U AA PAHL Playoff Championship last season.

9/11 Remembered Before 14U Game

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the attacks on America, our 14U Team Olander and Allegheny Badgers teams both participated in a short pregame ceremony. With our American Flag as the centerpiece, both teams took a lap around the ice and came together at center ice with a chant of “USA” in solidarity. A touching tribute to our fallen #wewillnotforget #letsroll #hockeysalutesourheroes

Emmet Martin Earns Invite to Select 15 National Development Camp

Helped by his strong play for the SCIR 2005 Birth Year team in the 2020-2021 season, Emmet Martin received an invitation to attend the Select 15 National Development Camp in Amherst, NY July 13th-18th.  Congratulations on the recognition and show the nation what Renegades hockey is all about!

14U MY2 Finishes the Season With a Tournament Win

14u MY2 ended the season just as they started the season with a thrilling tournament win.  Playing in the 50th Anniversary of the Laurel Tournament, Coach John Beiber's team played with determination on Saturday and secured their place in the championship game Sunday.  With the score tied 2-2 at the end of the 3rd period, overtime began.  It wasn't long before the gloves were flying in celebration as Brady Kunselman scored the game winner with assistance from Ethan Wally and Parker Haberman.  Congratulations team, job well done by everyone this past weekend.

14U Mixed Year 1 Wins PAHL A Major Black Playoffs

The 14U Mixed Year 1 team added another banner to the rafters bringing home the 14U PAHL A Major Black Championship.  Congratulations team!

2010/2011 Hybrid Finishes PAHL 10U AA Regular Season Undefeated

The 2010/2011 Hybrid team finished off the regular season undefeated with a 7-3 win on Saturday, April 3rd bringing home the PAHL regular season championship.  On to the playoffs next weekend!

2005 Wins 16U AA PAHL Playoff Championship in OT Thriller

Coach Pat Martin's 2005 BY team pulled their goalie and scored the equalizer with 3.6 seconds left in the 3rd to send the game to OT.  The team then sealed the PAHL 16U AA Championship 1:07 in to overtime.  The 2005 BY team is a 15U team and won the championship in the highest 16U PAHL division, giving them their second PAHL championship in as many years.  Congratulations boys!

2010/2011 Hybrid Team Wins Yet Another Tourney

The 2010/2011 Hybrid team won its 5th (yes, 5th) tournament of the year winning the Lake Effect Spring Invitational in Erie, PA at the 2010 AAA level.  Certainly an impressive tournament showing.

SCIR 14U Mixed Year 1 Wins IceWorks President's Day Tournament in Aston, PA

Coach Svoboda and Coach Riffle led the 14u mixed year #1 team to a Bantam A championship at the IceWorks President’s Day tournament in Aston, PA. Their record was 4-0-1 and they outscored opponents 21 to 4.

2009 Birth Year Wins ATC President's Day Tournament

The 2009 Birth Year team swept the President's Day tournament at Alpha Ice Complex with a perfect 4-0 record to add a new banner in the rafters.  Great work boys.

8U White - Chmiel Wins ATC Thanksgiving Feast

Congratulations to the 8U White - Chmiel team on their ATC Thanksgiving Feast Tournament Win.  Well done kids!

2010/2011 Hybrid Wins Hershey Thanksgiving Tournament "10U AA" Division for 4th Tournament Win of Season

CJ Stellabotte's 2010/2011 Hybrid team was at it again bringing home the hardware and chocolate from Hershey.

14U MY1 Picks up Second Tourney Win of Season

Another Championship win for the 14U MY1 Team. The last two games both come from behind victories. 4-1 in the last 2 mins to win 5-4! And then in the championship game a 5-2 deficit in last 4 mins turns in to a win 7-5! Talk about Perseverance.

10U MY3 Wins ATC Thanksgiving Feast Tournament

Excellent work by John Kohler and his 10U Mixed Year 3 team in capturing the ATC Thanksgiving Feast banner.  Congratulations boys and girls!

14U Mixed Year 1 Wins Three Rivers Cup in Shootout

Congratulations to Coach Spencer Svoboda and the 14U Mixed Year 1 team on a thrilling tournament win in the Three Rivers Cup at Center Ice Arena November 6th, 7th and 8th, 2020.  The championship game was won in a shootout, 3 - 2 over the Allegheny Badgers.

14U MY#2 Wins Pittsburgh Fall Classic

HC John Beiber's 14U Mixed Year 2 team won the Pittsburgh Fall Classic trophy in thrilling fashion.  The final game was guaranteed to be exciting as the Renegades faced a team they had lost to at the beginning of the tournament.  With the championship game being tied 1-1, the Renegades' Will Wolf, playing with a broken hand, scored the game winner with 1:20 left in the 3rd.  The opposing team had a chance to tie it once again with 5 seconds remaining when they were awarded a penalty shot, but it was denied by goalie Colton Bechtold to preserve the W.  A solid team effort brought home this win, great job boys!

2010/2011 Hybrid Wins Rock N Roll Cup "10U AA" Division for 3rd Tournament Win of Season

Ok boys, we're running out of room on the website to talk about your wins.  CJ Stellabotte's 2010/11 Hybrid team made it a perfect 3 for 3 on tournaments this season going 4-0 to win the Rock N Roll Cup in Cleveland October 24th-25th.  Great work again gentlemen.

Renegades 18U Mixed Year 1 Wins "18U AA/A" bracket of City of Bridges Tournament

Coach Vic Desanti's Renegades 18U Mixed Year 1 team turned in a gem of a weekend winning 4 out of 5 games to take the "AA/A" division of the TCS City of Bridges Tournament at Alpha with a hard-fought 5-3 win in the championship game.  Way to go boys!


Renegades 2010/11 Hybrid Team Adds Another Trophy in City of Bridges Tournament

The 2010-2011 Hybrid team, coached by CJ Stellabotte added their second tournament win of the season in the City of Bridges Tournament 10U A1 Division at Alpha October 9-11th, 2020.  Congratulations to the team on another strong performance going 3-0-1 to win the hardware.

Renegades 16U Mixed Year 1 Adds to SCIR Trophy Case with City of Bridges Tournament Win

The Renegades Mixed Year 1 team added a third SCIR City of Bridges trophy on the weekend going 4-0 to win the 16U "A Major" division.  Congratulations Chris McCambridge and the team to a well-deserved tournament win.

Renegades 2010/11 Hybrid Team Wins Chesapeake Bay Labor Day Tournament

CJ Stellabotte led the 2010-2011 Hybrid team to an early season tournament victory in Laurel, MD.

Emmet Martin Selected to the 2020 CCM 68 Boys Combine

Emmet Martin from the Renegades 2005 BY team was selected to attend the 2020 CCM 68 Boys Combine in Lisle, Illinois August, 2020.  Emmet was selected as being one of the top 68 American-born 2006 players in USA Hockey.  Congratulations to Emmet, have fun at camp and represent SCIR well!


2005 Win Districts, on way to Nationals in Kalamazoo

Coach Pat Martin led his 2005 Renegades BY team to a Mid-Am Districts Championship qualifying the team for Nationals in Kalamazoo, MI April 2nd-6th.  This success was added to a PAHL Season Champions banner as well as the PAHL Playoff Championship.


14U MY#1 Continues Successful Season as PAHL A Major Black Regular Season Champs

The 14U MY#1 team heading in to Saturday, February 22nd's contest in first place in the PAHL A Major Black division by one point.  They squared off against the second place team from SHAHA, and the winner of the game would snag the PAHL season banner.  After a back and forth game, the SCIR boys came out on top 4-3, capturing the season championship with a PAHL regular season record of 15-3-2.  Congratulations boys!

The 2009 Renegades took the ice between periods of the Pens - Leafs games on 2/18 as part of the Penguins Puck Pals program.

8U Red Brings Home the Trophy from UPMC

Elliott Robinson's 8U Red team was at it again winning The Jam at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.  Congratulations Boys!

16U MY#2 Wins in Niagara Falls

Renegades 16U MY#2 brought home some hardware from New York after going undefeated while giving up zero goals en route to a Niagara Blizzard Challenge Championship victory over MLK weekend.

14U MY#1 Wins Second Tournament of the Season

14U MY#1 rolled to victory in the Pittsburgh Midwinter Classic! The team, coached by Vaughn Kaizer, went 4-0 for the tournament and outscored opponents from South Florida, Illinois and Maryland by a combined 13 goals to 1. 8U Red Wins Top 8 Division at Nutcracker

The 8U Red Renegades won the 2019 RMU Nutcracker championship. Playing in the Red Top 8 Division the boys were undefeated throughout the Tournament!

After going 2-0-1 in regulation play, they defeated #1 seed SHAHA 3-2 in a thrilling overtime semifinal game. They were too much for RMU defeating them 6-3 in the championship game!

10U MY#1 Wins Nutcracker Tournament

The Renegades 10U MY#1 team went 3-2 on their way to a Nutcracker 10U A Major Red bracket tournament win.

14U MY #1 Goes 4-0 to Win Three Rivers Cup

Vaughn Kaizer's 14U Mixed Year 1 team rolled through 4 wins in a strong showing at the Three Rivers Cup. The team defeated the Tampa Bay Jr. Lightning 4-0 to clinch the championship.

16U MY #2 Wins Rock 'n Roll Cup in Cleveland

Led by coach Ray Bossong, the 16U Renegades MY #2 team went undefeated in the Rock 'n Roll Cup in Cleveland to bring home the trophy.  Way to go Renegades!
